For Thanksgiving this month we are hosting a "We are a Pilgrim People" with high school youth. It includes a lot of good stuff(ing)...a clip of "Who Are We", Info from Getaways with God (St. Mary's Press), a Pilgrimage with scriptural blessings that tell who we are, a skit called The Traveler, prayer, and the finale is Feast with Father (Tim O'Neill) That includes turkey stuffing, and all the works! Can't wait!!!!

During Advent, I have my CCD class do good deeds at home and at school, for family and friends as a birthday gift for Baby Jesus. At each class session during Advent, the children write down the good deeds they performed. I collect these papers weekly, and after the last class before Christmas, I put all the papers in a box. I wrap the gift in gold wrapping paper with a big, beautiful bow on it, and a big tag that reads, "To Baby Jesus, from 2nd grade CCD." The gift remains at the Nativity display in the church during the Christmas season. I just LOVE wrapping that present every year!
