Camino: Cursos en Español

Testimonios

"Acompañamiento may strictly sound sometimes as physically walking with the other even if the other might not even realize it, as they journey towards God. I would like to share on this short reflection my experience as a facilitator for the Camino formation program. It has been very exciting to re-connect using technology as a bridge between those I walk with sharing the amazing road of the Catechism of our Catholic Church in different parts of the country.  I witness how these compañeros de camino begin to unpack their online material and apply their new insights to the ministries each one does. It is beautiful to witness the effort that each caminante places on making sure they follow the material proposed week by week. The meetings across states that happen during chat sessions are a living reminder of our catholicity. During chats the agenda of the meeting is the sharing of knowledge of faith as well as how does that faith illumines life. The whole process is formative, engaging and transformative. The word acompañamiento has taken a broader meaning as a facilitator for Camino. Utilizing technology as a channel to bring us to a deeper knowledge and understanding of our faith, closer to our relationship with Christ and closer to our relationship with each other as members of the Church. Acompañamiento is being open to allow Christ to surprise us along the way and transform our lives in the process. The surprise might be on a question, on an insight shared by either the facilitator or those sharing Camino, the experienced lived in ministry enlightened by the new knowledge acquired. Our God has no limits in creativity and Camino is one of those means to reach out to others."

Lent 2026: Reflecting Together
February 11 - March 22, 2026

Take an opportunity to read and reflect on the Sunday readings during the first five weeks of Lent. You will be provided with links to reflections on the Lectionary readings (Sunday Cycle: Year A), by a selection of commentators. Each week there will be a discussion forum so that course participants can share and discuss their insights about the Sunday readings.

JOHN IN HOLY WEEK AND EASTER
Mar 4 - Mar 24 ($30)
The Gospel of John is used prominently throughout Holy Week and the Easter season in the liturgy. Explore what makes John's Gospel unique, the challenge of accepting Salvation, and the story of the final "hour" of Jesus's life. Fathers Harrington and Stegman artfully present on the Passion Narrative in John, through the Resurrection to a discussion on what it means for Christian disciples to carry out the mission of Jesus according to John's farewell discourses.

THE GIFT OF PRAYER
Mar 11 - Apr 21 ($60)
Whether you are looking to deepen your current prayer life or just beginning your prayer journey, this course provides an opportunity to reflect on the ways that we communicate with God and how God communicates with us. Rooted in the Catholic tradition, this course explores the foundations of prayer and reflects on different ways to engage in prayer, communally and individually.

RETIRING GRACEFULLY
Apr 15 - May 19 ($60)
For many moving closer to an actual or imagined retirement date, the reality of the event and life afterward may begin to seem puzzling, uncertain, or daunting. The goal of the course is not to answer every question, but to explore how God is present in our lives and working in the process from anticipation to realization of life after full-time employment.

MAPPING YOUR INNER LANDSCAPE
Apr 15 - May 19 ($60)
This course compares growth in our spiritual life to an interior journey. Examine the path toward sustaining spiritual growth while embracing 21st-century life through the dynamic of change, balance and solitude, and the power of gratitude. Join us as we discuss aspects of inner exploration: change as a dynamic of our lives; the quest for balance and solitude in a noisy demanding world; and the power of gratitude in motivating our spiritual growth.
