Shrines & Pilgrimage Sites
around the Diocese

Go on a Pilgrimage!
Fr. Greg Friedman explains in 2 1/2 minutes
the idea of a Catholic Pilgrimage.
What is a Pilgrimage?

A Pilgrimage is a journey to a sacred place undertaken as an act of religious devotion.
A pilgrimage symbolizes life's journey, the leaving aside of daily activities for a deeper experience of mystery,
the path of conversion towards the full manifestation of the Lord.   It is more than just a trip to a historic site or viewing religious relics, as it is a spiritual journey that can lead to personal growth and conversion.
(You will likely see beautiful art and architecture which can deepen your sense of awe of the Lord!)
